Responsibilities:
Experience with IBM mainframe operating systems and software, including MVS, z/OS, and TSO.
Should be able to code, test and debug with mainframe technologies.
Providing permanent fix for the Abends.
Document the project related deliverables including test cases & test results.
Ensure the proper daily & weekly status is provided.
Exposure to development and batch environments.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve batch job failures in a timely manner.
Able to provide solutions/develop the stable, reliable and performance-oriented programs.
Identify and implement process improvements in the project.
Requirements:
4-7 years of experience in mainframe development and/or batch support.
Knowledge of batch scheduling tools such as CA-7, Tivoli Workload Scheduler, or Control-M
Experience with JCL, COBOL, VSAM/DB2, CICS, and other mainframe technologies
Familiarity with mainframe development tools, such as File-AID, Xpediter, and Abend-AID.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
Knowledge of ITIL best practices and IT service management frameworks is a plus.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
