Your Impact:
• Serve as the technical subject-matter expert, guiding the team on troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ensure safe and efficient maintenance practices, including strict compliance with lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Lead by example in preventative maintenance, coaching mechanics on proactive equipment servicing and inspection.
• Utilize fabrication skills such as welding, cutting, and bending metal to modify and repair equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with CMMS policies.
• Oversee the team’s adherence to GMP and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards.
• Diagnose and eliminate emergency repairs by proactively replacing worn components and implementing best practices.
• Continuously improve maintenance processes, ensuring increased efficiency and minimal downtime.
• Train and develop the maintenance team, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill growth.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
What You Bring to the Team:
• 15+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in the food & beverage industry.
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, repair, and fabrication.
• A passion for teaching and mentoring maintenance staff.
• Proficiency in CMMS systems and maintenance documentation.
• Ability to problem-solve under pressure and lead teams through technical challenges.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certifications in electrical or mechanical fields are a plus.
• A commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
• Exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and moving machinery.
• Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in tight spaces.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Frequent standing, walking, and maneuvering through industrial environments.
