Job Role
RRSD Unit faces the Group Risk Function with a peripheral support to CEO CIB Function. It handles wide spectrum of activities to support the Enterprise Risk Analytics, Traded Risk Management, Risk and Compliance Reporting teams of the Group Risk.
Enterprise Risk Management
Traded Risk Management
The Traded Risk Reporting team is responsible for the reporting, analytics and control of Traded Risk for the Financial Market (FM) trading books, across multiple asset classes including FX, Fixed Income, Interest Rates, Money Market, Equities, Credit and related derivatives.
The team is also responsible for BCBS 23+ governance and risk reporting effectiveness.
Strategy
• Overseeing the arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in accordance with BCBS 23+ governance and risk reporting responsibilities.
• Actively drive the implementation of validation and effectiveness review for BCBS 23+ activities in business-as-usual (BAU) reporting processes and assist the transition of key governance activities from programme-mode to BAU mode in an effective and sustainable manner.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters related to BCBS 23+ governance..
Business
• Communicate and pursue the strategic intent and agenda for RRSD.
• Assist in Maintaining and developing RRSD's capabilities, skills and infrastructure to meet ongoing business needs and plans.
• Lead and deliver the requirements of the Group in compliance to regulatory principals.

Our Ideal Candidate
• Post graduates / Professional qualification with 7 - 10 years experience in Risk domain.
• Acute awareness and understanding of the Group's risk strategy and frameworks appropriate to the role.
• Acute awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework (specifically BCBS 23+) in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
• Strong analytical and writing skills necessary for developing the validation and effectiveness review approach to measure ongoing compliance with BCBS 23+ with a view to adopting or establishing industry best practices.
• Strong understanding of concepts with respect to development of validation and effectiveness review mechanisms, coupled with good understanding of market risk knowledge (preferably in risk reporting or risk management), process control, monitoring mechanisms and operational risk in the financial services industry is essential.
• Self-motivated person with strong stakeholder management skills, a high level of personal responsibility and a desire to excel consistently.
• A process-driven and disciplined approach working within the Bank's governance structures and standards to produce high-quality deliverables to the agreed timetable.
• Demonstrable experience of maintaining effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders through the negotiation of scope and competing requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential for this role. Excellent documentation skills.
• Signature Strength - Strong product knowledge in FI / FX / Credit Derivatives / IR Derivatives / Traded Risk with expertise in Data visualisation, dashboarding and automation technologies.
Hands-on Tool - Programming skills in Python, SQL, API Development, VBA, MS Technologies (Access, Powerpoint), Visualisation Tools (Tableau, PowerBI), Workflow Automation Tools (RPA, Sharepoint), DevOps (JIRA, Jenkins, Git), knowledge of AI / ML will be an added advantage.
Analytical mindset - Able to detect outliers by observing movements and trends in data. Be able to investigate issues and identify the drivers.
Certification
• Risk Certifications from established institutions is recommended
• Any technical Certification in MS Office Advanced tools / SQL / Tableau / SAS will be preferred
• FRM Certified candidates will be preferred
General Skill Set
• Experience in team admin tasks / cost controller / project accountant role with familiarity to SCB project management standards / tools would be a distinct advantage.
• Significant Experience in major regulatory programs in the Risk / Finance, Banking industry - BCBS, IMM, CVA, etc.
• Awareness of trading environment, macroeconomic fundamentals, market moves and potential impact on exposures.
• Strong knowledge in banking products across asset classes (FX / Rates / Equity / Credit and Commodities).
• Working knowledge of the Group's businesses, governance structure and approach to risk management.
• Expertise in programming language is not required but good to have
• Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
• Knowledge about Market and Credit Risk.
• Working knowledge in MS Excel, Access.
• Have excellent attention to detail.
• Be able to work in a global team.
