Your role
Lead and manage all staff within the Business Support Team to develop, deliver, monitor and evaluate a portfolio of strategic services and projects, to achieve project outcomes, and support achievement of organisational objectives.
Youth Justice is developing an anti-racist workforce and requires all management positions to actively lead an anti-racist team, to call out racist behaviour and to develop strategies which go towards the goal of being an anti-racist organisation.
Youth Justice NSW is leading a Close the Gap agenda and is actively focused on reducing the unacceptably high numbers of Aboriginal young people in the youth justice system. All staff play an integral part in this.
What you’ll do
As the Senior Manager of the Business Support Team, you will
Lead the development and delivery of a portfolio of services, identifying interdependencies and leveraging resources to maximise efficiencies and achieve required organisation outcomes.
Lead and oversee aspects of service delivery, as well as the finance and administration development and implementation across a portfolio of complex projects, including, preparing correspondence, establishing appropriate governance, identifying, allocating and managing resources, and meeting reporting requirements, to ensure service delivery outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and in line with the Agency project management methodology.
Partner with DCJ Finance to provide expert advice and information to all Youth Justice NSW staff with regard to the organisation’s annual Operating Expenditure (OPEX) budget and expenditure.
Develop and implement strategies and tools for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of financial and administration projects, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, and financial impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues to achieve overall budget effectiveness.
Lead and manage the central office finance and administration team/s, to deliver all key financial and administrative milestones and outcomes.
Assist in helping to manage stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout their contact period and their financial deliverables are met.
Provide expert advice and information to stakeholders on emerging financial and administrative issues and present recommendations to support service delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and other potential priorities.
What we’re looking for
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
NSW Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment.
