Job Summary
Join Fresenius Kabi as a Senior Manager in Corporate Portfolio and M&A Strategy, a pivotal role where you will actively contribute to the management and growth of our corporate portfolio. This position involves driving strategic projects and exploring new business development opportunities, including digital health, venture investments, and emerging technologies. You will collaborate closely with management teams across the organization, becoming a key player in our mission.
Note: While this position can be worked remotely, it requires regular travel to our headquarters in Lake Zurich, IL. Local candidates will be prioritized. Unfortunately, we cannot provide sponsorship for this role now or in the future.
Salary: $160,000 - $170,000, along with eligibility for an annual bonus plan that targets 14% of your base salary. Final compensation will depend on various factors such as experience, education, skills, and abilities. Responsibilities
• Analyze various markets and sectors, focusing on nutrition, MedTech, and biotechnology, to identify potential targets for inorganic growth.
• Develop compelling pitch documents to align Fresenius Kabi management on prioritizing inorganic targets.
• Conduct internal strategic evaluations, recommending new business avenues and performing scenario planning and modeling.
• Create asset valuations through relevant industry methodologies like DCF and NPV analysis.
• Oversee strategic corporate projects from inception through evaluation, negotiation, and execution.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery, including due diligence and business case development.
• Act as a representative of Fresenius Kabi to external partners, showcasing our strengths to consultants, brokers, and investment banks.
• Utilize insights into market dynamics to inform strategic discussions related to our future direction.
• Support global corporate strategic planning activities consistently.
Job Requirements
• A Bachelor’s degree in a market, scientific, technical, or finance field is required; an MBA is strongly preferred.
• Investment banking or buy-side M&A transaction experience is highly favored.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in business development, M&A, strategy, or analytics.
• 5+ years of experience in the healthcare sector.
• Strong comprehension of financial statements and their implications for business.
• Proven track record of success in complex, matrix organizational settings.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with strong presentation capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%, including internationally.
