About the role

As Senior Manager – Data, AI and Privacy Risk, you will play a critical enterprise leadership role governing and uplifting ART’s approach to data, AI and privacy risk across the organisation. Sitting in Line 2 Risk and Compliance, you will provide independent oversight while partnering closely with senior leaders to enable safe, responsible and scalable innovation. This role combines strategic influence with handson leadership, shaping frameworks, capability and culture in one of ART’s most critical risk domains. With broad enterprise reach, you’ll help balance innovation and control to deliver strong outcomes for members today and into the future.


Day to day, you'll:

Leading enterprisewide oversight of data, AI and privacy risk in alignment with ART’s strategy and risk appetite
Designing, embedding and evolving frameworks, policies and methodologies across data, model, AI and technology risk
Acting as a trusted senior advisor to Line 1 leaders on complex risk, governance and regulatory matters
Providing pragmatic risk advice, review and assurance across AI, advanced analytics and automation initiatives
Driving uplift in Line 1 risk capability through coaching, training and strong stakeholder partnership
Leading privacy risk management activities, including impact assessments, incidents, complaints and regulatory change
Influencing risk culture by translating complex requirements into clear, actionable guidance
Monitoring emerging technologies and regulatory expectations to proactively manage future risk
Building and leading a highperforming team, rolemodelling ART’s values and leadership expectations

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

A senior risk leader with deep expertise across data, AI, technology and/or privacy risk in complex, regulated environments
Demonstrated experience operating in or partnering with Line 2 risk functions, balancing independent oversight with pragmatic enablement
Proven capability to influence, challenge and advise executive and senior leaders on complex and emerging risk matters
Strong background in shaping strategy, frameworks and governance while remaining comfortable with handson risk advisory and assurance work
Sound understanding of AI, advanced analytics and model risk, with a strong focus on responsible, ethical and compliant deployment
Experience leading privacy risk management activities, including impact assessments, incidents, complaints and regulatory change
An ability to translate complex technical and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for diverse stakeholders
People leader who builds highperforming, engaged teams and rolemodels strong risk culture and leadership behaviours
Forwardlooking mindset, staying ahead of emerging technologies, regulatory expectations and industry best practice
