The Role Responsibilities
Strategy
As a Delivery Manager the candidate should be responsible and align always to the quick sourcing of data into our data lake to assist the SCB Business to slice / dice the data or automating complex / regulatory reporting required for the key decisions.
• Establish the data migration strategy, impacts of change and detailed delivery plan for migration.
• Look for opportunities to tweak the sourcing flow so that data is available quicker without compromising existing Control checks.
• The individual will be responsible for end to end data delivery solution, development, deployment, performance assessment, etc.
Also provides thought leadership and acts as a subject matter expert to design and recommend appropriate analytical solution in addressing key issues within the business.
Business
The candidate should understand the wider picture of the data that is being used in the Bank for taking key decisions and accordingly work with both Upstream, downstream and business stakeholders who will consume the data.
• Manage data and information support for all the key initiatives of business units across Retail Bank supporting countries and group teams.
• Liaise with the relevant Group Functions to analyse existing infrastructure, key business drivers and the high level requirements.
• Ensuring total customer satisfaction by providing quality service, submitted in a timely manner and communicated effectively.
• Partner with Senior Leaders and Stakeholders on strategic initiatives and drive delivery of organization objectives.
• Lead the effort to review and improve efficiency of processes and quality of service delivery.
• Engage with key stakeholders, groups and committees to support approval and implementation.
• Continuous Improvement in Productivity to the standards prescribed from time to time.
Processes
• Work closely with the Group Functions and Business Areas to implement / enhance data quality controls and documentation per the Bank’s Data Quality Management framework.
• Ensure effective management of operational risks within the function and compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulation.
• Continuously improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
• Work closely with colleagues developing Data Privacy Processes.
• Define the detailed process and data requirements.
People and Talent
• Lead a team of Project Managers / Business Analysts, Dev leads to effectively implement the migration of foundational data warehouses to a central enterprise data management platform.
• Define and implement data warehouse migration programmes including establishment of the business case, definition of migration strategy and implementation planning / delivery.
• Provide second-line review and support for deliverables that require validation / confirmation from CDO, including adherence to standards on documentation and controls.
• Liaise with the BCBS23+ Portfolio, CDO and Risk Areas to define the detailed deliverables, implementation plan and path to compliance.
• Define the implementation plan (including key dependencies, resource requirements and interlocks).
• Balance the team in terms of work allocation and in terms of skill sets (Functional and Technical).
• Self Train on the new technologies and ensure that all the members in the team are also trained.
• Regular reviews and on the spot feedback to yield better results from the team.
• Reduce the key dependency on any specific resources.
• Lead the team in the right way.
Risk Management
Operational Risk Management
• Interpret the Group’s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures.
• Ensure data security and data sharing in secured way through SharePoint in password protected files.
• Identify the risks in the data delivery framework and handle with appropriate controls and measures.
Governance
• Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
• Produce ongoing metrics on progress, status reports and communication packs.
• Manage the working groups.

Our Ideal Candidate
• Bachelor's / Masters degree from a recognised university.
• 15 years of experience in the Banking / Financial Services industry
• Programme delivery experience in implementing data change management programme, data warehousing migration programmes that involve cross geography and multi-functional delivery.
• Self-starter and individual contributor who is comfortable with working within a geographically diverse line management structure.
• Structured thinker with the ability to break down complexity into smaller parts to aid communication and implementation.
• Excellent leadership skills with proven experience in managing change initiatives with >20 team members.
• Outstanding ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders from a broad range of backgrounds.
• Experience in implementing large scale compliance and regulatory change initiatives for Global Banks.
• Outstanding ability to negotiate with senior stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.
• Experience in managing migration of data warehouses to big data technology stacks.
• Outstanding ability to write clear, concise and plain English.
• Experience in developing policies, procedures and controls.
