ACT's Circle K Business Centre India (CKBCI) is a wholly owned subsidiary and an integrated centre, collaborating with our international teams supporting the delivery of ACT's global business operations.
About the role
The incumbent will be accountable and responsible for overseeing all CKBCI entity's corporate finance, In-Country accounting, taxation, and reporting activities for the Indian subsidiary and providing leadership and direction to the CKBCI finance team. The role also would include overseeing Facilities and IT teams from an in-country GBS perspective. The successful candidate will act as a Finance Controller to the GBS to provide leadership and ensure compliance in all finance related aspects, with the highest levels of integrity. The individual will support in development of internal control policies and procedures for financial operations and financial risk management.
Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
• Overseeing all accounts, ledgers, reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate India Accounting, GAAP standards (IGAAP & IFRS) and regulatory requirements
• Consistently analyzing financial data for group reporting as well as statutory reporting and ensuring presentation of financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
• Take decisions related to financial planning and budgeting for CKBCI and related management decisions
• Act as a single point of contact (SPOC), support and assist CKBCI teams to review with Corporate on regular or ad-hoc basis in
• different financial measurement systems
• Closely monitor or participate in the monthly close process and responsible for final review of budgeting and reporting prepared by CKBCI finance team before submission to Global.
• Responsible for overseeing the audit closing process
• Responsible and overseeing the procurement process
• Review and approve tax computations
• Review and approve final tax payment and tax return
• Manage and facilitate income tax assessments
• Appear for hearings along with consultants, if required
• Review and approve GST computation and input tax credit, monthly/yearly return filings
• Review of GST refund workings and fillings - half yearly /yearly
• Appear for GST assessments hearings before GST authorities along with consultants (as may be required)
• Review and approve yearly LLP return filings
• Review and approve all export related filings per FEMA and RBI requirements
• Review of monthly Inter-company cross charge working and Invoices.
• Overseeing procurement process as per RFP process framework
• Maintains stewardship for financial assets and debt including overall leadership of the cash management
• Facilitating forward booking if necessary
• Review and approve payments and act as signing authority
• Oversight of the CKBCI onsite support team from an in-country perspective across finance, facility management and onsite IT functions.
Governance and Compliance
• Implement effective governance mechanisms within the in-country finance function and other support functions
Stakeholder Management
• Effectively communicate and manage strong relationships with internal stakeholders – local and global
• Promote partnership ecosystem with external stakeholders (auditors, tax and regulatory authorities, local authorities, payroll providers etc.) to deliver operational excellence
Qualifications and experience
• Chartered Accountant
• 10+ years of India Corp Finance experience with at least 4+ years in a leadership role
• Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, hands-on strategic thinker
• Excellent Strategic and organizational leadership skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of India Corporate Finance, Annual Budgets, IF&A Analytics, India Finance Processes and tax regulations
• Corporate planning & Strategic planning
• Regulatory framework, accounting standards, taxation laws and guidelines from India perspective
