Are you passionate about governance, influence, and impact? ASB is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to join ASB's high performing, supportive, and collegial in-house Corporate & Governance Legal Services team. This role provides an opportunity to champion governance excellence across the organisation and to help shape the future of the framework that allows ASB to function properly.

Te Tūranga | The role:

Reporting to the Head of Corporate & Governance, you will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of ASB's Corporate Governance Framework. You'll provide expert advice, coaching, and training to senior leaders, ensure compliance and alignment across all business units with core governance and policy obligations. This role is pivotal to ASB's operations and to maintaining ASB's reputation in a rapidly changing environment.

Lead ASB's compliance with the Corporate Governance Framework, providing strategic advice and practical solutions.

Represent ASB in consultations with Commonwealth Bank of Australia, advocating for ASB's needs and interests.

Manage the lifecycle of core governance policies owned by ASB's Business Services.

Draft and present Board and Executive Committee papers to secure approvals.

Provide secretariat services to board and executive management committees as needed on an ad hoc basis.

Identify and implement process improvements to simplify and enhance governance practices.

Support the Head of Corporate & Governance with initiatives that drive excellence and innovation.

Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for distilling complex information.

Strong project management and prioritisation skills.

Proven ability to work autonomously, problem solve, and deliver high-quality outcomes.

A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.

A tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience.

Experience managing board or executive meetings is preferred but not essential.

High PC literacy and absolute discretion with sensitive information.
