Bank Australia is customer- owned, socially and environmentally aware, B Corp certified bank and member of the Global Alliance on Banking Values. We empower our staff and 185,000+ customers to be part of the clean money movement. We’re growing fast as more people choose to align their banking with their values.

We’re seeking a Senior Manager – Impact Lending to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in property lending, and who is excited to work with layered capital structures including grant funding, philanthropy and ethical investment to unlock impact.

Why join us

We have big plans to become Australia’s most trusted bank and a leading purpose-driven business.
As a certified B Corp, we’re part of a global business community who meet the highest social and environmental standards, putting purpose over profit.
Every role and person in our bank is essential to bringing our values, purpose and aspiration to life.
We offer flexible working options, competitive salary and 13% super.
Our staff have access to a range of meaningful benefits to support their physical and mental wellbeing including 24/7 free counselling, free flu vaccinations and discounted gym memberships.
We also support staff with study assistance, paid parental leave (regardless of gender), volunteer, bereavement, gender affirmation and family violence leave; and the opportunity for bonus annual leave.
We support our staff to grow their careers through learning and development and an organisational culture where we reward and recognise innovation and values, not long hours.
We are committed to building an inclusive culture and a diverse workforce that reflects the Australian community.
We own and care for a 2,117 hectare conservation reserve on the lands of Traditional Owners from the Wotjobaluk peoples in Western Victoria – where we work with key partner organisations to protect threatened species and involve staff in conservation.
What you will be doing

Originate and structure property development and investment debt facilities, often involving multiple layers of capital (e.g. senior debt, subordinated debt, grants, equity).
Lead deal teams in managing property development and investment debt facilities, from origination to financial close including due diligence, financial modelling, risk and impact assessments.
Build and manage long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders across key impact sectors.
Lead the preparation and presentation of high-quality credit submissions in collaboration with the Deal Team.
Oversee the financial close process, including legal negotiations, documentation (including impact reporting), and compliance with credit policy.
Contribute to the development and execution of sector-specific strategies.
Support the growth and capability of the Impact Lending team through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
What you will bring

Extensive experience in property finance, including structuring and originating mid-market or corporate development and investment loans.
Strong credit analysis and lending skills with a track record of successful deal execution.
Deep understanding of the property sector, including market dynamics, risk factors, development processes, and regulatory considerations.
Existing relationships across the property sector, including quantity surveyors and valuers.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a purpose-driven environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Commitment to Bank Australia’s purpose, aspiration, values and brand as well as the B Corp ethos.
