Job description
Looking for one of the banking client for the Mumbai location. He/She should have strong retail risk management experience. He/She should have good experience in data crunching, data plotting, data presentation. If worked on SAS/SQL/Python/R would be an added advantage. 1. This role requires to process, implement, and develop risk strategies for personal loan & cross sell business. 2. The role holder would operate and maintain an effective risk management system by creating a robust risk framework for the business that includes risk identification, assessment, mitigation, tracking and reporting. 3. This helps organizations improve the management of portfolio risks and prevent losses for the business. Roles & Responsibilities: - Evaluate Product programs/Policies in line with regulatory guidelines and build strong controls to mitigate risks across all spectrums (Onboarding, Credit, Operations, Fraud, Reputation etc.). - Monitor portfolio delinquencies at a micro level, identification of segments, locations and profiles which are delinquent. - Assure adherence to the guidelines set by the bank. - Facilitate implementation of technological interventions like scorecards, digital journeys and automation to streamline processes. - Serve as a policy expert and conduct trainings when needed. - Prepare monthly newsletter - snapshot of Portfolio performance, monthly acquisition trend, quality of portfolio and trigger monitoring. Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities: - Monitor key parameters on productivity, hiring quality and costs via maintaining relevant scorecards. - Build, groom and retain top-class talent pool to enable high levels of process efficiencies. - Attract and retain best-in-class talent for key roles in their reporting structure

Job Description - Risk Rating Unit
Role: Team Member - Risk Rating & Compliance
Objective: Centralized unit independently validating the ratings for corporate, SME, business banking, NBFC, MFIs, brokers, bank clients across the bank.
Reporting Authority: Head - Risk Rating Unit
Education: CA/ MBA/ CFA or equivalent from reputed institute
Key Responsibilities:
- Internal rating validation for corporate, SME, business banking, NBFC, MFI, broker, bank clients across the bank.
Risk Validation Activities:
- Detailed review and understanding of credit (industry, business, financials, management), credit ratings
- Preparation of rating rationale along with rationale for any changes in risk scores
- Review deviations to the credit policy of the Bank
- Recommendations/comments on all proposals placed to Board level credit committee with respect to policy compliance/portfolio risk/industry prospects etc
- Approve judgmental rating action proposed as per delegation matrix
- Decision making along with the stakeholders (Credit/Business)
Interactions and Resolutions:
- Effective interaction with business/credit groups across Large Corporates/Emerging Local Corporates/NBFC/Brokers/MFI/Projects/Small, Micro Enterprises/Business Banking
- Effective resolution of internal audit/external audit/RBI queries
- Periodic review and updation of industry risk scores including addition of new industries as deemed appropriate.
Industry Tracking and Benchmarking:
- Track latest industry developments by participation in seminars, conferences and client site visits, interactions with clients, rating agencies, industry database providers,
- Benchmarking of companies within sectors
Leadership and Talent Development:
- Define and facilitate the achievement of goals and key performance indicators for direct reports and ensures effective implementation of the performance management process in the division.
- Nurture talent within the team by providing guidance, ongoing feedback, coaching and development opportunities to individuals to enable achievement of the defined goals.
- Develop and nurture a continuous talent pipeline for key roles in the division and provides mentoring for high potential talent in the organization
Skill Sets:
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts
- Ability to identify key characteristics and drivers of diverse sectors/businesses
- Knowledge of risk assessment and control
