What you’ll be doing...
You will be working in some of the cutting-edge technologies and emerging tech, and driving the network systems Architecture to the next level in its journey to the North star architecture.

This would include aspects of directional tech stack enablement, SOE, Telecom domain - covering Wireless and Wireline, stability, security, and availability. You will champion and drive initiatives partnering with cross functional teams and leadership to define, prioritize, execute and track the KPIs. You will be driving innovation as a culture with the teams through various methods. You will be working with architecture teams, vendors to drive the programs to success and enable better user experience for our Verizon network customers. You should be able to create, lead, shape and execute programs and initiatives to improve people skills, process optimization and modern technology adoption to create higher value for the business.

The primary responsibilities of SPM will also include driving technology and domain related changes from Architecture perspective and work alongside Distinguished Architects - all aligned towards the goal of delivering best in class solution and system architecture deliverables - by engaging across ART s and strategic programs.

When it comes to the Architecture function - the primary responsibilities of this SPM is to lead a team of select architects and to support them in building, delivering and managing business intelligence reports in close partnership with business and leadership teams. Align the team and work towards the definition of SOE 2.0 as well as oversee the technical enablers and see how they can be adopted across the board.

Leaders in this space are equally responsible to lead the talent transformation and Technology / domain transformation in alignment to our North Star recommendations.

Leading Advocacy with business & IT stakeholders: Be a strong proponent of the ideas and thought leadership to represent the team and project on management and exec meetings, collect metrics (ROI, KPIs, etc.) and business processes involved behind the programs and articulate it well to mgmt.
Working with TM Forum like Industry standards body and drive catalyst programs as well as advocacy and adoption of TM Forum Open API s and other aspects such as ODA and frameworks and architectural recommendations.
Maintaining high levels of engagement with onshore SMEs, management, business, local management on the projects and programs.
Building a high performing team culture: Define ways around creating a high performing team in tour space and manage performance management with every member of the team, review progress regularly and provide feedback monthly
Creating Superior Employee Experience: Create scalable practices that would help maintain a very high level of engagement with the team members on a regular basis and ensure that there is a constant connect.
Enabling best in class developer ecosystem with needed access, data, stakeholder partnerships, work-life balance and employee long term career paths.
Creating People & Tech Leadership Pipeline: Nurture development of talent into strategic roles both on technology and strategic management.
Driving a Culture of Innovation: Champion a culture of innovation and drive as an example.
Encouraging the team to participate in experimentation, hackathons, coding events and other org wide events and efforts.
Managing vendors on the ARTs or Non-ART programs/domain teams.
Managing and tracking the budgets and financials.

What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree with six or more years of experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience.
Experience & knowledge in AI/ML, Big Data tech, NLP, Chatbots, AR/VR is preferred.
Experience in Telecom Network Domain and Network OSS solutions.
Experience on Database technologies
Experience on DevOps & Cloud infrastructures
Experience of NS systems and applications
Knowledge of SAFe processes and especially the role played by solution and system architects

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

A Master's degree.
Certifications, Industry recognitions, Patents & Papers.
Strong people leader and a mentor, and maintains a very high level of engagement with the team members.
Ability to respond to tight timelines, strong expertise in crisis management, skilled at solving problems with creative solutions that enhance the employee experience.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
