Senior Manager| Software Engineering

Your opportunity Interested in helping developers around the world improve the security posture of their applications We are a fast growing group of engineers building Application Security experiences inside of New Relic, and we need your help! Prior security experience is a plus but is not required for this role, we'll teach you what you need to know! We are seeking an engineering leader who is passionate about developing new products and helping customers secure their applications. You will lead a team of engineers working on our Vulnerability Management capability and 3rd party integrations. What you'll do Passionately lead a team of Software Engineers to deliver high quality features and product improvements Help hire/build a team of 5-6 software engineers, ranging from junior to senior experience levels Your team will be responsible for the design and implementation of both front and backend features Communicate technical insights and recommendations to advise and empower product leadership Lead engineering and workload planning for your team Own engineering responsibilities for 3rd party Security integrations Define quality standards and the processes to ensure integrations meet them This role requires 10+ years working on large scale software systems 7+ years leading engineering projects/teams 3+ years of successful people management Solid understanding of/proven experience with: Kubernetes, Kafka, Java, REST API design Experience with: Relational and/or Columnar databases, Cloud Services (AWS, Azure or GCP) Bonus points if you have 5+ years of people management Experience building partner ecosystem platforms Experience building and owning public REST APIs Experience with App Security and secure development lifecycle activities, such as: Threat Modeling, Security code reviews Experience using and/or running App Security products (Security Testing or Vulnerability Management tools, such as Dependabot, Snyk, or Synopsys) BS/MS in a field related to Computer Science or Cyber Security Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
