ABOUT TEAM
The Core Systems (SRE) team at Parametric:
Develop and maintain global code repository and CI/CD pipeline on Gitlab
Develop standard IaC templates for AWS cloud applications and services
Build and maintain container orchestration on Kubernetes
Integrate with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Sentry etc.
Enhance overall developer experience across the organization, providing toolsets and automation
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will work closely with the software development teams – enabling them to deliver quality software at speed, expediently receive actionable feedback, and fostering an environment of continuous experimentation. The Engineer will work with the SRE team to create reusable components and workflows that deliver superior developer experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Empower the development teams to deliver quality software at high velocity by creating flows, processes, automation, and tooling
– Design, implement, and manage centralized monitoring solutions that provide expedient actionable feedback to the development teams
– Foster an environment of continuous experimentation and learning
– Function as subject matter expert in the area of creating and delivering reliable, performant, robust, and secure applications
QUALIFICATIONS
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
SKILL SET
Required Experience: 7+ years
Skill set: Java/Python, Go Programming languages, Kubernetes, Docker, IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Primary Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineer required
– Enablement mindset and attitude, collaborate across technology teams and developer community in the organization
– Experience with fully automated CI/CD pipeline development (Gitlab preferred or GitHub)
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Experience designing, developing, and operating applications and systems in the cloud (AWS preferred)
– Experience writing code (Java, Go, Python, preferred)
– Familiarity with application architecture concepts
– Familiarity with networking concepts and terminology
– Familiarity with application and infrastructure security concepts and terminology
– Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and CloudFormation
– Experience implementing and operating container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Nomad, Elastic Container Service (ECS)
– Experience implementing and operating centralized monitoring tools such as Sentry, Prometheus, Graylog, ELK stack, Datadog and AppDynamics
