We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our team in managing complex projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
i) Designing and validating complex fixtures used for welding, assembly, checking, lifting, handling, and transportation of large assemblies/products for various OEMs covering industries such as auto manufacturing.
ii) Proficiently applying design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) principles to ensure efficient production processes.
iii) Translating user requirements into functional technical solutions.
iv) Demonstrating creativity and ingenuity in applying engineering principles and practices to devise innovative solutions to existing manufacturing problems.
v) Utilizing solid Six Sigma and lean tools to improve processes.
vi) Continuously updating and developing their knowledge in the field of project management and engineering.
vi) Training other team members on theory and design of existing/new equipment.
vii) Proficiency in using CAD software (Solid works, Catia V5) to facilitate design of equipment.
viii) Expertise in manufacturing domain specialized in welding shops.
Project Management and Communication:
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
i) Leading a team of professionals, motivating them to exceed expectations while strictly following plans and objectives.
ii) Managing different accounts through proven customer interface skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external customers.
iii) Analyzing project profitability, revenue, margins, and utilization.
iv) Managing big teams for tool design.
v) Driving critical project parameters such as project timelines, first-time right deliveries, and other project KPIs.
vi) Managing and coordinating project tasks with individual manufacturing and technology centers, and third-party integration and solution providers.
vii) Being meticulous about documentation and maintaining a robust log of all procedures.
viii) Adhering to applicable quality system requirements and supporting process audits.x) Managing and completing invoicing process for ongoing projects for various customers.
xi) Initiating and involving different suppliers as and when required.
xii) Managing supplier's onboarding/negotiation/PO process for sub-contracted work.
Technical Skills:
The successful candidate should possess the following technical skills:
i) Hands-on experience on tools and fixture design covering various equipment types such as welding fixtures (BIW), assembly fixtures, checking fixtures, test fixtures, lifting fixtures. Experience in designing material handling/storage devices, transportation devices.
ii) Hands-on experience on applying different industry standards used developing equipment defined above.
iii) Proficient Six Sigma knowledge; advanced understanding of lean manufacturing concepts.
iv) Experience in working with machine OEMs or SPM manufacturers.
v) Using solid concepts of design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA) and implementing them into new product development.
vi) Solid understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or mechanical machine drawings, including industry specifications.
vii) Strong understanding of applicable manufacturing processes. Solid knowledge of vendors and procurement methods.
viii) Ability to apply advanced knowledge of capabilities studies, Gage R&R, and machine capability.
ix) Excellent understanding of product drawings, including GD&T and specification flow down.
x) Proficient comprehension of cell and plant layout drawings.
Expertise and Qualification:
The successful candidate should also possess the following expertise and qualifications:
i) Proficient in Microsoft Office.
ii) Strong computer skills.
iii) Hands-on skills on Cad software (Solid works, Catia V5).

ii) Efficient project planning tools.
iii) Solid technical writing skills.
iv) Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; solid understanding of root cause analysis.
