As Senior Marketing Manager for Visa and Borrowing Solutions, you’ll head up a team of talented marketers to:

Seamlessly migrate our existing credit card customer base to a new Visa portfolio.

Develop compelling strategies to support the Your Credit Score digital tool.

Incubate our emerging Embedded Finance proposition.

This is a pivotal role focused on unlocking growth across priority customer segments and enabling deeper engagement and retention to build long-term value. Success will require a strong grasp of both short- and long-term performance levers that fuel high-quality growth for our brands in key markets. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping growth initiatives and mobilising agile teams to deliver meaningful change and measurable impact.

JOB TITLE: Senior Marketing Manager - Visa and Borrowing Solutions (16 month FTC)

LOCATION(S): Bristol, Chester or Halifax

HOURS: Full time - fixed term

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days per week) in one of our office hubs mentioned above

The Borrowing Full Funnel Marketing Team in Brands, Marketing and Experience (BMX) uses data and insight to anticipate and respond to customers’ changing needs, helping them to feel confident about borrowing well now and for their future. Working collaboratively with our channel partners (Accelerators), we orchestrate marketing activity across segments, products and channels to engage customers and drive growth for our unsecured lending business.

This is a critical leadership role with responsibilities that include the successful migration of the existing credit card customer base to new a Visa portfolio, development of creditworthiness marketing strategies for Your Credit Score digital tool and the scale-up of our new Embedded Finance proposition.

The role includes line management responsibility of a team of Marketing Managers and Assistant Marketing Managers that design and manage the full end to end customer marketing plans. Ability to inspire, lead and manage a team is vital. Previous experience or knowledge in the unsecured lending area is desirable.

Key skills we're looking for

Implementation Leadership – Ability to lead complex marketing programmes end‑to‑end, including hypothesis setting, agile delivery, and accountability for outcomes.

Full‑Funnel Marketing Expertise – Proven experience designing and executing multi‑channel acquisition and lifecycle plans, using insight and analytics to drive high‑quality growth.

Marketing Innovation & Creativity – Skilled in developing standout campaigns, applying test‑and‑learn approaches, and leveraging both traditional and emerging media channels.

Commercial Acumen – Strong financial and strategic judgement; experience managing and optimising £m+ budgets to deliver measurable business value.

Market Awareness & Trend Insight – Ability to identify and apply new marketing technologies, data capabilities and routes to market to maintain competitive advantage.

Stakeholder Influence – Demonstrated success building trust, resolving conflicts and aligning diverse stakeholders in large, complex organisations.

People Leadership – Experience inspiring, developing and managing high‑performing teams, fostering inclusion and a culture of excellence.

Operational Handover – Competence in transitioning successful campaigns to BAU teams (CRM, Growth, Campaigns & Social) for automation and scale
