AES (Aircraft Engineering Services Ltd) are the Engineering Delivery Partner for Ryanair in the UK.

We are inviting applications from Aircraft Mechanics and Engineers to come and join our team at one of our UK bases.

The bases we are recruiting for include the following:-

• Bournemouth

• Bristol

• Luton

• Stansted

• East Midlands

• Birmingham

• Liverpool

• Manchester

• Leeds/Bradford

• Newcastle

• Edinburgh

• Prestwick

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, who will work without direct supervision and be able to demonstrate a flexible working attitude in a fast-changing environment.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them aiming to maximum reliability and functionality. An excellent auto mechanic has good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. They are well-versed in complex mechanical or electronical systems of vehicles and have excellent problem-solving abilities. They must also be good communicators to provide advice to customers. Responsibilities Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accuratelyInspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgradeConduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevitySchedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle useRepair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance jobKeep logs on work and issuesMaintain equipment and tools in good condition Requirements and skills Proven experience as an auto mechanicExcellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehiclesWorking knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methodsAbility to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.Valid certification (e.g ASE) is a definite plus
