Job Description
• Perform complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems on various vehicles, including gasoline, diesel, and alternative fuel models.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and major tune-ups.
• Repair and replace a wide variety of components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension systems.
• Use diagnostic equipment, including computerized systems, to identify and resolve malfunctions.
• Handle custom fabrication and modification as needed.
Leadership and management duties
• Lead and mentor junior mechanics, apprentices, and other team members, providing guidance and training on technical skills and best practices.
• Oversee the scheduling and prioritization of maintenance activities.
• Ensure the quality of repairs and maintenance performed by the team.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate schedules and minimize equipment downtime.
• Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Administrative and safety duties
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety, health, and environmental policies.
• Manage inventory and initiate purchase orders for necessary supplies.
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a strong safety culture.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and training.
