ME+EM is looking for a Senior Merchandiser to lead merchandise planning and trading across our stores and concessions. This role is pivotal in shaping strategy, optimizing stock flow, and maximizing commercial performance across multiple markets and channels.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute effective merchandise and range plans to drive sales and profitability.
• Utilize regional insights to tailor planning and trading strategies across different markets.
• Lead option planning, store grading, and clustering to ensure the right product mix and stock flow.
• Work cross-functionally with Buying, VM, Retail, and Logistics to optimize in-season trading and financial performance.
• Monitor and adjust markdown strategies, stock forecasts, and allocations to maximize sell-through and minimize risk.
• Provide clear, data-driven reporting on trade performance and market trends to inform future planning.
• Act as the link between Head Office and Retail, ensuring stores are supported with commercial insights and strategies.
• Keep ahead of competitor performance and market trends, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a goal-oriented and commercial mindset.
Skills:
• Strong merchandising experience within a multi-product retail environment.
• Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial mindset with a hands-on, proactive approach.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
