Senior iOS Mobile Engineer (iOS Native) – Hybrid Toronto - Contract
Company Background
We’ve partnered with a venture backed consumer mobile platform. This venture backed tech company is working on a new mobile redesign and this is a unique opportunity to shape core experiences. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to bring seamless user experiences to life using Swift and the latest iOS frameworks
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform using Swift
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks
• Maintain code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD best practices
• Stay up to date with Apple’s ecosystem, frameworks, and design guidelines
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience developing iOS applications
• Proficient in Swift and iOS SDKs (UIKit, Core Data, Combine, etc.)
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries (e.g., Alamofire, Firebase)
• Solid understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, VIPER)
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and testing tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Published at least one app to the App Store (preferred)
