Senior User Experience Engineer
Stay (Post booking) Experience is a relevant factor in deciding Guest's overall vacation experience. What You Will Do
• Lead and mentor a team of smart app engineers, work with peers across the environment and collaborate on high-impact business problems.
• Establish relationships with Tech leaders across the organization to understand and address business problems through the lens of technology.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Design team, TPMs and other developers to accelerate mobile app development for our Transport org Line of business.
• Be a part of a mobile team that is focused on utilizing the latest technologies and developing ever-improving strategies to best deliver high-quality code.
• Solid coding and code review skills. Understanding of clean code, asynchronous programming, unit tests, and auto-layout.
• Drive continuous improvement and continuous delivery in our software development process within an agile development team.
• Write automated unit, system and acceptance tests as appropriate to support our continuous integration pipelines
• Translate functional specifications into logical, component-based technical designs.
• Actively mentor peers and other software engineers.
Who You Are
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
• 8+ Experience of working in an Android environment.
• The desire to pick up, learn and run with new technologies and frameworks such as Compose, Coroutines and GraphQL.
• Experienced in standard software engineering practices and methodologies enabling the full software development process, including establishing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes and testing.
• Practices Test Driven Development, and has experience with testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Continuous Development/Integration tools like Github Actions.
• Deep understanding of MVVM and other design patterns e.g., SOLID, Clean Architecture and how to create testable and debuggable code.
• A love for all aspects of application development, from brainstorming and design to implementation and launch
• A dedicated software engineer with experience seeking a variety of outstanding challenges.
• Willing to learn from everyone, communicate well, and strive to be an effective team member.
