The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
• Developing, maintaining, and managing schema, advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions using MicroStrategy. Hands on with MicroStrategy Cubes and working with complex data structures. Working with Enterprise Manager reports and supporting application admin activities like managing Users, Groups, ACLs, code migration, etc. Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design. Working on fine tuning report/cube SQL Queries for maximum efficiency and performance. Conducting unit tests and developing database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues. Finding the key areas of automation to make the business processes smooth Develop and present findings and engage with stakeholders to support data driven insights and decision-making Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., Business & Function Risk/ Control Leads, analytics and reporting managers across Citi), including working effectively with internal audit Work closely with various other application and support teams Provide support on other key initiatives and requirements to deliver regulatory transformational change at Citibank Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise BI development 8+ years of hand on experience with MicroStrategy Good to have a knowledge on other BI tools like Tableau Strong experience in writing SQL queries for relational databases like Oracle Experience in working with complex data like many-to-many relationships, ragged hierarchy Experience in managing and implementing successful projects Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
