Your Day to Day
As a Senior .NET Engineer, you'll provide expert-level leadership on all facets of the development lifecycle. Within a .NET/Sitecore environment you'll act as day-to-day technical contributor across our marketing properties. You will be a go-to for backend development knowledge and will help to architect solutions large and small. Within your team, you will partner with marketing, design, frontend development, and QA resources to execute on a multitude of web & eCommerce related projects.
Core Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Work within a product-focused scrum team on executing the web & eCommerce needs of marketing
Implement components using C#, MVC in Sitecore CMS
Integrate with a variety of 3rd party systems through REST APIs to support eCommerce functions
Gather, document and communicate requirements and solution
Lead architecture, design and implementation of assigned tasks/projects
Provide accurate time estimates at the project level and input for resourcing
Ensure the quality of applications through formal testing and documentation
Maintain the integrity of application source code and underlying data through the use of version control systems
Evaluate cutting edge technologies, development tools and libraries, and make recommendations for their use in our environment
Research and analyze new products, libraries, frameworks, etc.
Prepare and present technical recommendations to teammates/coworkers
Provide technical analysis of existing applications and proposed solutions; assess and mitigate risk
What we are looking for:
Quick study, self-motivated, disciplined
Top-shelf analytical and communication skills
Ability to break down large asks into small digestible pieces
Comfortable in working with a lightweight methodology that morphs from one project to the next
Firm grasp of object and aspect-oriented design and programming practices and patterns
Complete understanding of enterprise level project architecture, development lifecycle, and post-production support
Able to produce concise design documentation
Optimization and debugging techniques
5 years of experience with:
.NET Experience with .NET using C# MVC
Working within a web and/or eCommerce team
Git
Scrum Development Methodology
IIS, Azure Web Apps familiarity
Coordinating development efforts through common tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket (or similar systems).
Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:
Sitecore CMS – This is the software backbone of many of our systems.
Azure or AWS
MS SQL Server or Azure SQL
TeamCity
Javascript, CSS, HTML
Experience with automated unit and functional testing tools, and the ability to write and execute test plans.
