IIHMR University, Jaipur seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Administrator to join our IT department. This role involves managing and supporting the university's network infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and optimal performance to support academic and administrative functions.
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are highly desirable.
Required Skills:
• Strong proficiency in networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Experience with network security practices and tools, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
• Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SNMP).
• Solid understanding of cloud networking principles and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Required Experience:
Minimum 05 years in network administration and support or a similar role is required. Proven track record in managing complex network environments.
Experience in an education industry setup will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Designing, configuring, and maintaining our institution’s network infrastructure, including wired and wireless networks, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Monitoring network performance and ensuring network availability and uptime.
• Implementing and maintaining network security protocols, including firewall configuration, intrusion detection systems, and network access control.
• Conducting regular network assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
• Troubleshooting network issues and providing timely resolution to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Managing network upgrades and expansions, including planning, scheduling, and implementing changes during maintenance windows.
• Documenting network configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Providing guidance and mentoring to junior network administrators and IT support staff.
