Your typical day as a Senior Online Content Designer may include:
working with business areas to take a brief on a new initiative or change that requires website updates - these could be in the shape of new or updated content, updates to forms or tools (estimators, eligibility testers and calculators) or decision trees
collaborating with other members of the team - both content designers and technical web representatives - on possible solutions to business needs
reviewing responses given by QRO's chatbot to user queries; updating responses and adjusting logic, to ensure accuracy of responses
preparing changes in test environments and publishing (including announcements, banners, technical legal documents, tables, online forms and web pages)
supporting and guiding AO5 web content editors with their work
monitoring current jobs for the team and ensuring that accurate records are kept.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
Extensive experience creating and writing content based on user needs that meets readability and WCAG requirements, with the ability to apply the Australian Government Style Guide.
High-level communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to elicit content requirements from stakeholders of all levels.
Significant experience in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating a dynamic online environment with a focus on content. This includes managing complex projects, ensuring all output aligns with our strategic priorities.
Experience in content management systems and understanding of chatbot use.
Ability to negotiate or communicate with internal stakeholders and provide guidance and mentorship to other team members.
Strong analytical, copywriting and problem-solving skills in an online content development and/or project management context.
