Description:
• This is a senior-level role that requires hands-on experience in Oracle database administration, high availability and disaster recovery, database upgrades, performance tuning, and security management.
• The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of Oracle 12C, 18C and 1+C, with knowledge of 21C being an added advantage.
• They should be familiar with monitoring tools like Confio, Solarwind and splunk, and have hands-on experience in writing shell scripts/Perl/python.
• Responsibilities include performing day-to-day administration of Oracle databases, configuring high availability and disaster recovery solution, upgrading oracle databases to latest versions, applying latest fix-packs as per requirements, monitoring database performance, and refining and automating regular processes.
• The role also involves managing database security, ensuring compliance with policies, and conducting regular audits of security processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Oracle database administration
• Strong working knowledge of Oracle 12C, 18C and 1+C
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Confio, Solarwind and splunk
• Hands-on experience in writing shell scripts/Perl/python
• Ability to analyze, solve and correct issues in real time
