:
This is an Engineer position responsible for the OEM Monitoring Servers Setup / Installation / Configuration / automating and transforming the software engineering/certification process.
The engineer will be responsible for developing standardized solution and automate the tools from Monitoring and setup notification procedures across support teams.
Engineer will focus on laying out Pro-active measures from monitoring / alerting perspective to ensure issues are alerted / resolved on timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders and provide direction for all Monitoring controls to ensure we stay complaint on all Initiatives.
All projects within the group and in creating a technology domain roadmap, Define a holistic architecture for monitoring all RDBMS products - Oracle, SQLSERVER, MONGO, PostgreSQL
Define technology strategies and standards on product selection and product exit
Review and manage SDLC process controls for all Oracle automation projects
Liaise with Operational DBA teams to ensure that engineered and automated solutions are tested by operations and sufficiently trained for providing L3/L2 support.
Develop and/or coordinate tools and process integration for Oracle products
Ensure that all integration of functions meet business goals
Define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process

Knowledge/Experience:
8+ years of experience in following areas:
Experience on Setup / Installation of OMS servers and Managing OEM Monitoring tool for all databases
Automation / Scripting In-depth knowledge to reduce manhours from monitoring / alerting perspective
Architectural design of applications to leverage Oracle products for appropriate use cases
Discovering Targets / Deploying Templates / Managing Incident Rules on OEM
Experience on Security Script for Various / Rotations mapped with Roles & End Users
Experience working with Monitoring RDBMS database products (Oracle, MS SQL, MONGO, PostgreSQL) from installation to testing and development
Project Management experience
Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
Required Skills:
Around 8+ years of experience in following skills:
Working knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager, SolarWinds, SCOM, Guardium, Sensu, AppDynamics
Experience on automation / scripting from Shell script and SQL standpoint
Experience in developing reference architectures, coordinating deployments of Oracle features
Experience in working on UNIX/Linux operating system
Desirable Skills:
RDBMS (Oracle mandatory) + NoSQL + Graph troubleshooting and development
Knowledge of agile SCRUM practices, JIRA
Competencies:
Possesses good verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates self-motivation and problem-solving skills
Capable and willing to work independently as well as in cross-functional and cross[1]location teams
Ability to provide presentations to Management and large audiences
Capable of defining cost models and optimizing technology spend and licensing
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
