Private Client Paralegal
• Job Type: Full-time
• Location: Cheltenham
• Salary: circa £30.000/annum DOE
We are seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join our top-ranked Private Client department, providing expert legal support to one of the leading Private Client Partners. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for client care and a desire to further their legal career within a supportive environment. The role offers a great opportunity to exposure to high net-worth clients, London based and international, and possibility to assist and learn from one of the best Lawyers in the UK.
Day to Day of the Role:
• Onboard new clients, open files, and handle client due diligence and relevant checks.
• Assist in drafting Wills, Trusts & Lasting Powers of Attorney.
• Manage the distribution of estate, including generating requisition slips for payments and obtaining bank details for recipients.
• Communicate regularly with clients and third parties via phone, email, or in person.
• Maintain an up-to-date appointment and reminder diary and make appointments, as necessary.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of all practice and client documentation/information.
• Provide photocopying support and answer calls as needed.
• Meet with clients in person for document signing or to address queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Law degree and at least 2 years of Private Client legal experience - necessary.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong time management skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Numeracy and IT proficiency.
• Ability to plan work and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team and with external parties.
• Readiness to travel to London assisting the Partner, when needed.
