The Opportunity
At Shine, we champion better justice for our clients. And as a full-time, permanent Senior Paralegal in our Medical Law based in Brisbane, that starts with you. Our national team delivers justice for our clients who have suffered catastrophic back injuries, brain injuries, cosmetic injuries, birth injuries, delayed diagnosis of illness and children with cerebral palsy.

With empathy, adaptability and initiative, you will be a true champion of our clients by:
Prepare matters for conference and hearing, including preparation of court documents, legal documents and general correspondence.
Draft briefs and documents such as instructions to counsel and particulars of special damage.
Assisting the solicitors in effectively assessing claims, including liability and quantum.
Cultivating strong relationships with our clients, Shine employees, Counsel and other external stakeholders.
Preparing legal documentation with a high degree of detail, and managing and running a file load with a keen level of commercial and fiscal awareness.
Working as one team using market-leading systems to effectively obtain maximum compensation for our deserving clients.
What you’ll bring
Demonstrated success in a similar paralegal capacity in QLD medical negligence will make your application competitive.
Significant demonstrated exposure to pre-court and court processes.
Client service oriented, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team to achieve targets.
Proactive, self-starter who displays initiative.
Comfortable to work under pressure when needed.
Strong MS Office skills.
