Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Patent Associate with a minimum of 10 years of experience in prosecuting patent applications, drafting patents, conducting prior art searches, and attending hearings. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prosecute patent applications and draft patents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Conduct thorough prior art searches to ensure the novelty and non-obviousness of inventions.
• Attend hearings and represent clients in patent-related matters.
• Provide strategic advice to clients on patentability, infringement, and validity issues.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their inventions and draft comprehensive patent applications.
• Manage a portfolio of patent cases and ensure timely and efficient handling of all matters.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in patent law and technology.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in patent prosecution, drafting, prior art searches, and attending hearings.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Electrical and Electronics, Computer science, Mechanical Engineering).
• Admission to practice before the patent office and a member of a state bar.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Strong client management skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Familiarity with international patent laws and procedures.
