Under the supervision of the Payroll Manager, the incumbent is responsible for processing payroll files and assisting the coordinator with year-end procedures.

What you will do :

Process the entire weekly payroll cycle;

Record timesheet hours according to employee items and conditions, and apply union and CCQ rules specific to each job site with regard to overtime and miscellaneous expenses (pensions, travel and parking expenses, etc.) and enter them into the CMiC computer system, as applicable;

Enter all new employees' personal information into the CMiC computer system;

Transmit payroll to financial institutions;

Balance payroll reports and make remittance payments (CCQ and other unions, government remittances, etc.);

Produce various end-of-payroll reports on a weekly basis;

Provide high-quality customer service when responding to employee requests;

Participate in the year-end payroll process.

This role could be for you if you have :

AEC or DEC in accounting;

Payroll Compliance Professional certification from the National Payroll Institute (an asset);

Have 3 to 5 years of experience in payroll processing;

Knowledge of payroll processing for the CCQ and other construction unions (an asset);

Have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
