Job Description

About us

Based in San Francisco, we’ve raised $55M in funding from top-tier investors and are honored to have been named Fortune’s Next Billion Dollar Startup in 2026. Join us in our mission to unleash and uplevel the world’s know-how!

How we work

We are builders aspiring to master our crafts. We care deeply about our teammates and want to win, together. We embrace the following values:
• A strong sense of ownership
• Defaulting to action
• Humans over everything else
• A continuous learning and growth mindset
• High performance, high-velocity output
• A supportive, respectful and transparent work environment

About this role

Every day, thousands of people find Scribe on social media through eye-catching ads that make them think, “WHERE has this BEEN my whole life?!?”

Scribe has over 3,000,000 users today — and many of these people signed up because they saw a paid ad they couldn’t scroll past. We’re acquiring users efficiently at scale and consistently growing month over month. But we want to go faster and we’re looking for a performance marketer who can help us take our ad performance to the next level.

Behind the scenes of every highly converting ad are the people who bring it to life. The artists who captivate audiences and convert them into users through the medium of ad creative. The people who are connoisseurs of top-performing ads; who spend hours and hours in the Facebook ad library studying the latest top-performing creatives; who agonize about the anatomy of a perfect ad; who tinker with each element, frame, clip, and audio bite. The people who are always thinking up a new hypothesis, designing a new experiment, and then eagerly watching the data and metrics because they can’t wait to extract the learnings and apply them to the next experiment they’re already dreaming of. People who strategize in CPMs, CPAs, CTRs, and CPCs, but execute with the heart of a creative visionary to craft ads that convert.

People like you.

This is where you come in!

We’re looking for someone to take our paid social creative strategy to the next level to deliver against Scribe’s ambitious business goals to 3X our user base in the next 12 months.

We’re looking for someone with innovative ideas for creating highly-converting paid social ads. Someone who stays ahead of industry trends, tools, and best practices in ad creative and paid social. Someone who is passionate about their craft in performance marketing, brimming with ideas, and eager to rigorously test them against well-defined metrics. Someone who isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo, with strong convictions about what works and what doesn’t—and the ability to design data-driven tests to prove it.

If you’re reading this thinking “that’s me!”, we want to meet you!

What you’ll do:
• Design, create, and test high-converting ad creatives that capture attention, drive engagement, and convert viewers into Scribe users.
• Lead and manage the entire creative process, from initial concept development and production to testing and evaluation.
• Analyze performance metrics such as CPM and CPA to continuously optimize ad campaigns and ensure they meet or exceed targets.
• Design and conduct A/B testing to validate hypotheses and refine ad creative based on data-driven results.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in ad creative and paid social, applying the latest insights to Scribe’s campaigns.
• Experiment with new ad formats, platforms, and creative approaches to push the boundaries of what’s possible in paid social advertising.
• Challenge conventional best practices, bringing bold and innovative ideas to the table and backing them up with data-driven strategies.

You could be a great fit if:
• Performance marketing is not just your career—it’s your craft. Your dedication to your craft fuels your drive to push boundaries and achieve extraordinary results. You live and breathe performance marketing, constantly dreaming up innovative strategies and analyzing data to refine your approach. You find joy in every click, every conversion, and every insight gained. Performance marketing is where you thrive, and it’s where you’re destined to make your mark.
• You excel in both creativity and analysis. You’re adept at designing eye-catching ads while simultaneously analyzing performance data to refine your approach. You seamlessly blend creative execution with data-driven decision-making.
• You’re a results-oriented experimenter. You enjoy running experiments and analyzing data to uncover insights that drive creative improvements. Your approach is both creative and analytical, with a focus on optimizing campaign performance.
• You’re an innovative strategist. You’re always on the lookout for new trends and opportunities to push the boundaries of paid social advertising. You set ambitious goals and develop creative solutions to achieve them, constantly iterating based on performance insights.
• You have a growth mindset and you aren’t afraid to go against the grain. You’re eager to experiment with new ad formats, platforms, and strategies. You approach every campaign willing to test, learn, and adapt.
• You have no limiting beliefs and love pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. You’re not afraid to challenge conventional practices. You bring big ideas to the table and are excited about crafting innovative ad creatives that align with performance objectives. You’re driven by the desire to push boundaries and achieve significant results.

Qualifications
• 4-6 years of experience in performance marketing. This isn’t limited to B2B SaaS—if you have experience in other areas like D2C, we want to hear from you!
• 2-3 years of experience in ad creative development. Experience designing, executing, and testing highly performant ad creatives that convert and deliver against business goals.
• Strong proficiency in performance data analytics and the ability to derive actionable insights from datasets and translate them into new creative experiments.

Nice to have:
• Any degree in a STEM field. Preference for candidates with a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, demonstrating a solid foundation in analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in D2C performance marketing: prior experience in managing and optimizing campaigns for direct-to-consumer companies.

What we can offer you

You’re a builder at heart who aspires to master your craft. You’re awesome and could work anywhere you want, but you choose to spend your time with us because:
• A (truly) remote team we mean it. You work whenever and wherever you do your best work. Oh, and no one’s ever uptight if you need to take an hour off to go to a doctor’s appointment or drop your kids off at school. :)
• Our Slack HQ isn’t a ghost town - we have a lively Slack workspace where we chat with colleagues who are onsite and remote. You’ll be feeling super connected to the team no matter where you are.
• Unlimited PTO - we mean this, too. Take time to go do all of the other things you love, or for whatever reason (we don’t need one). Someone on the team is always traveling (you can see for yourself in our shared team calendar!)
• Life at Scribe - we love to have fun as often as we can. You’ll get to enjoy our annual Scribe Day party on Scribe’s birthday, our monthly social events, holiday events and more.
