Job Description:
Fortis Hospital in New Delhi is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. As a Senior Pharmacist at Fortis Hospital, you will be responsible for compounding and dispensing medications, monitoring drug therapies, and providing essential health services to our patients.
Responsibilities:
• Compound and dispense medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor customers’ drug therapies, advise on interventions, and inform customers of potential side effects.
• Instruct customers on how and when to take prescribed medications.
• Conduct health and wellness screenings.
• Provide immunizations and other medical services such as blood pressure, temperature measurements, and blood sugar level checks.
• Keep accurate customer records to ensure the highest standard of care.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment in the pharmacy.
• Complete operational requirements of the pharmacy, including verifying order entries, maintaining records of controlled substances, and removing expired and damaged drugs from the inventory.
• Adhere to applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures governing pharmaceutical practice.
• Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the pharmacy's operations.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharmacology.
• Proven experience as a Pharmacist with a valid license to practice.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy software applications such as MEDITECH and Mediware.
• Great organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications and maintaining records.
