Job Description
As a Senior PHP Developer at Future Generation Solutions, you’ll play a critical role in the development, testing, and maintenance of advanced web applications. You will work closely with a talented team of developers, designers, and product managers to build scalable and high-performance solutions. This role requires expertise in PHP, a deep understanding of web architecture, and the ability to mentor and guide junior developers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP and related technologies.
Lead and collaborate with a cross-functional team to design, implement, and optimize features.
Architect and build scalable, high-performance backend systems.
Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and best practices.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in PHP development
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, Zend).
- Web Technologies: Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks.
- Version Control: Experience with Git and GitHub/Gitab.
- API Development: Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Problem Solving: Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Database Management: Proficiency with MySQL or other relational databases, including schema design and optimization.
- Code Quality: Strong focus on writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure
- Experience with microservices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of front-end technologies such as React, Vue.js, or Anguar.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
