Job Title: Senior PHP Developer
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior PHP Developer with over 6 years of hands-on experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of PHP frameworks, database design, REST APIs, and modern development practices. Experience in leading a team or mentoring junior developers will be a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain dynamic web applications using PHP and related frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter, etc.).
Write clean, reusable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and QA to deliver features and fix bugs.
Perform code reviews and guide junior developers as needed.
Manage and maintain MySQL/PostgreSQL databases, including complex queries and indexing.
Participate in software architecture decisions and technical discussions.
Maintain documentation of architecture, code, and deployment processes.
Stay updated with the latest web technologies and industry trends.
Required Skills:
Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in PHP development.
Strong knowledge of PHP 7+/8, OOP, and MVC architecture.
Expertise in Laravel, CodeIgniter, or other modern PHP frameworks.
Solid experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases.
Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX.
Experience in building RESTful APIs and working with third-party integrations.
Good understanding of version control systems (Git).
Experience with debugging, performance profiling, and code optimization.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
Advanced experience with frontend frameworks.
Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Basic understanding of unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).
Knowledge of Linux server management or DevOps practices.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (B.Tech/B.E./MCA preferred).
