Key Responsibilities:
Software Development:
§ Design and develop scalable, robust, and maintainable web applications using PHP and related technologies.
§ Write well-structured, efficient, and reusable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
§ Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other team members to deliver cohesive solutions.
Technical Leadership:
§ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, sharing your expertise and promoting knowledge sharing.
§ Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.
System Architecture and Design:
§ Collaborate with architects and technical leads to define system architecture, database structures, and integration points.
§ Contribute to the design and implementation of APIs, ensuring seamless communication between different components.
Troubleshooting and Bug Fixing:
§ Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
§ Perform debugging, testing, and code optimization to enhance application performance.
Performance and Security:
§ Implement security best practices, including data encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
§ Monitor and optimize application performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing performance enhancements.
Version Control and Deployment:
§ Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage source code and collaborate effectively with other developers.
§ Participate in deployment activities, ensuring smooth and reliable releases to production environments.
Continuous Improvement:
§ Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in PHP development.
§ Propose and implement process improvements, tools, and frameworks to enhance development efficiency.
Qualifications:
§ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
§ Proven experience as a Senior PHP Developer with a strong portfolio of web application projects.
§ Proficiency in PHP and PHP-based frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).
§ Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and integration with back-end systems.
§ Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and database design principles.
§ Familiarity with RESTful APIs, third-party API integration, and microservices architecture.
§ Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail.
§ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
§ Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
