Our applications are robust platforms built using Laravel, MySQL, Vue.js 3, and AWS. We are looking for an experienced Laravel developer to lead our backend engineering efforts and help drive our next phase of growth. Role Overview We are seeking a Senior / Lead PHP Laravel Developer who will take charge of the complete development lifecycle, mentor junior team members, and coordinate with third-party developers and vendors. This is a key onsite role with end-to-end ownership of platform stability, scalability, and performance. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Laravel framework with clean, testable, and efficient code. Architect and implement front-end components using Vue.js 3, emphasizing componentization and reusability. Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate designs into high-quality, responsive interfaces using HTML5 and CSS3. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices that support scalable and extensible systems. Architect, develop, and maintain APIs to support frontend features and third-party integrations. Participate in code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and driving best practices in software development. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing codebases and infrastructure. Plan and execute new feature pipelines and backend improvements. Collaborate with third-party developers and vendors to integrate external components. Assist the operations team with ad-hoc data queries and database-level problem-solving. Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules. Solve complex backend performance bottlenecks and architectural challenges. Core Technical Skills Strong expertise in PHP (OOP) and Laravel (6+ years). Experience working with MySQL and data modeling for scalable applications. Familiarity with Vue.js 3 and integrating frontend and backend layers. Solid grasp of MVC architecture and RESTful API design. Understanding of Livewire is a plus. Hands-on experience with Git version control. Additional Skills & Qualifications Good understanding of front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript. Familiar with web security best practices and server-side security protocols. Proficient in managing cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred). Strong database query optimization and reporting skills. Experience working in cross-functional teams with agile methodologies. Ability to communicate with business stakeholders and external vendors effectively. Experience with integration of multiple data sources and systems. Capable of creating and maintaining database schemas that support business logic.
