We have an urgent requirement Senior Piping Design Checker person who should have good years of experence in the Oil and Gas Industry.
About the Role
Highly experienced Senior Piping Design Checker with 10 to 15 years of expertise in piping design and checking activities for major projects in the oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or related industries. The Piping Design Checker will be responsible for independently reviewing piping design deliverables to ensure accuracy, compliance with standards, and overall design integrity. This role requires a deep understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices
Responsibilities
• Review and verify all piping design deliverables for accuracy and compliance with project specifications, international codes, and standards
• Perform detailed checking of isometrics, P&IDs, GA drawings, plot plans, and 3D model
• Ensure proper routing, accessibility, constructability, operability, and maintainability of piping system
• Conduct clash detection and coordinate with other disciplines to resolve design conflict
• Verify bill of materials, material take-offs, and ensure proper selection of piping component
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and drafter
• Participate in design reviews, model review sessions, and support construction and commissioning activities as require
• Ensure strict adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirement
Qualification
Exp: 10 to 15 yrs
Required
• Excellent knowledge of piping design codes and standards (ASME B31.3, B31.1, API, ANSI, ISO,
• Strong Knowledge of 3D softwares (E3D, Navisworks, Auto
• Thorough understanding of P&IDs, piping layouts, equipment layouts, and isometric drawi
• Knowledge of material specifications, pipe supports, stress analysis concepts, and fabrication practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent coordination and communication skills for interfacing with multi-disciplinary teams
• Leadership and mentoring abilities for guiding junior team members
• Familiar with project phases (FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Good documentation, reporting, and quality control skills.
