Senior Principal Business Analyst
This position is for the role of Senior Principal Business Analyst for Oracle Banking Microservices Platform (OBMA) team which falls under Financial Services Business Global Unit (FSGBU) of Oracle. In FSGBU we develop mission critical applications used by Financial Institutions worldwide. We are building the next generation applications using Oracle Cloud, PaaS and SaaS offerings from Oracles technology and application portfolio to enhance our customers experience, modernize our technology stack, and accelerate our release cycle. OBMA is a next generation platform based on microservices architectural principles. The new platform offers a foundational horizontal layer upon which individual vertical applications are built. These applications span both mid-office and back-office functions. Most of the Oracle banking applications are mandated to move to this new platform in coming years. The foundational horizontal layer has a set of base technical and functional components. This a highly visible and critical next generation platform which will serve Oracle Banking and Financial applications for next few years.

As part of development of the Microservices based platform we gather requirements from numerous products that forms our basis for technical and functional enhancements. Generally, the requirement from various products comes independently in a non-structured and discreet manner. This creates difficulty in understanding the requirements and hence impacts the design and delivery of the platform.
Person in this role would be responsible for:
Gather and collate requirements from various products.
Be a single point of contact of the platform team for any functional query.
Guide the team in clarifying functional doubts related to the products by contacting various product SMEs.
Participate in solution design in collaboration with the platform Architect and Senior developers to make sure that the functional requirements are met.
Understand the functionality of various products up to the extent required to design the solution.
This is a techno-functional role; hence person would be expected to understand platform architecture at the level required provide inputs to solution designing and Architectural decisions.
Essential Skills
Postgraduate preferably MBA or post graduate diploma in Business management
Min 12 years experience as a techno-functional business analyst working in a large multinational and preferably on product development
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
A fast learner with keen interest on acquiring functional knowledge and become techno-functional expert.
Ability to influence others without having direct management responsibility
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences.
Preferred Skills,
Domain knowledge of Banking and Finance
Experience working with cloud computing technologies.
