The Role
Reporting to the Executive Producer – Entertainment and Events, NITV, the Senior Producer & Editor will be doing the following:
Produce content to budget and on time – completing call sheets, production manuals, scripts, and production schedules
Create budget submissions for productions
Identify and pitch ideas to Executive Producer – Entertainment and Events, NITV for consideration
Produce within an internal and sometimes also external team, working with all stakeholders and across teams with different levels of seniority
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing all aspects of production including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Identify a slate of Indigenous community events for broadcast across the calendar year
Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Explore innovative ways with SBS Media to monetize NITV's content through branded content, sponsorship deals, and other commercial initiatives, while ensuring alignment with the network's values and audience interests.
Work closely with the digital team to ensure that content is optimized for digital platforms, aligns with NITV's digital strategy, and maximizes engagement with online audiences.
Perform editing duties as required.
