About the opportunity

Join the new System Integration team and help shape the next generation of home respiratory support devices at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare. We're integrating breakthrough technologies to improve the lives of patients around the world. Bringing hospital-level innovation into the comfort of the home.

As part of our growing team, you’ll play a key role in seamlessly integrating new technologies across software, hardware, and clinical workflows. From early feasibility through to commercial deployment, you’ll collaborate across disciplines to ensure innovations transition smoothly and safely into the hands of patients and clinicians.

Your responsibilities will include continuing device interoperability initiatives, system integration and testing to ensure robust compatibility of Fisher & Paykel Healthcare technologies with current and future respiratory devices, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure features meet user needs and compliance requirements.

About you

We are seeking candidates with 5+ years of experience and a degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline, with demonstrated capability in the following areas:

Algorithm design and signal processing
Basic electronics design and debugging
Desktop application development, particularly for test tools or graphical user interfaces (e.g., Python, C#, MATLAB)
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across teams and departments
System-level thinking, including experience across hardware, firmware, and software in complex medical or technical systems.
Prototyping and hands-on validation, including lab testing, fixture development, and troubleshooting
Experience mentoring or coaching junior engineers or peers
A strong sense of adaptability and initiative, with the ability to work across evolving requirements.
