Job Summary
The overall purpose of this position is to develop, support and maintain IEEE's Batch Data Integration processes using SQL, Informatica, Talend and Siebel EIM. The incumbent in this position is primarily responsible for analyzing requirements, designing solutions, development, unit and integration testing and providing post deployment support. The role typically reports to an IT Manager and operates as an individual contributor. This position works under minimal supervision.
Batch processes that need supporting include (but are not limited to) processing of external feeds in the form of files or other data sources, data purge, mass data updates using Siebel EIM or data imports using EIM and producing feeds/files for external vendors of IEEE.
Key Responsibilities
• Application Development/Design – 60%
• Performs requirements Analysis for Data Integration projects and Siebel projects
• Designs solutions using SQL, Informatica, Talend, Siebel EIM, Siebel Configuration & Scripting
• Develops and performs hands-on unit testing
• Performs end-to-end integration testing
• Reports progress to Supervisor and Project manager
• Application Support/Maintenance – 40%
• Provides problem-solving, analysis, and resolution of production tickets and defects
• Provides data Analysis using SQL
• Supports and monitors scheduled processes
Additional Responsibilities
• Performs requirements Analysis for Business Intelligence projects
• Designs solutions using Tableau
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Computer Science or related field Req
Work Experience
• 4-7 years of related experience Req
• 4-7 years hands-on analysis and programming experience using Informatica and Talend ETL Req
• 4-7 years Of hands on experience in Databases – Oracle SQL, Amazon Redshift Req
• 2-4 years of working with Siebel EIM & Siebel Tools Req
• 2-4 years Of working with Siebel tools and web tools (Siebel configuration and scripting). Pref
• 2-4 years Of working with Tableau (creating dashboards, publishing data sources) Pref
Skills And Requirements
• Strong working experience in Data Integration tools like Informatica or Talend (preferably both).
• Strong hands-on working experience with RDBMS concepts - Oracle SQL, Amazon Redshift.
• Sound knowledge of Siebel data model preferred.
• Knowledge in Siebel configuration and scripting preferred.
• Work experience in Tableau preferred.
• Must be a team player and have excellent communication and presentation skills to work with individuals and teams across the organization.
• Demonstrate good problem solving and analytical skills
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English
• Ability to effectively present ideas, concepts, and technical solutions to review system design with a small technical audience.
• Must be a technologically savvy who seeks out technology solutions to business challenges.
