Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Level Ground Hardware Architect to support a Phantom Works Fixed Wing Proprietary Program to work in Berkeley, MO.

You will be joining a fast-paced program where you will be responsible for all phases of the hardware design and development lifecycle including requirements and interface definition, architectural design, procurement & supplier management, and integration of Edge compute, communications, and encryption hardware in support of Ground Segment development.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the Ground Segment Hardware Architecture and Design, ensuring performance, interfaces, and both functional and non-functional requirements are met. They will develop engineering solutions and practices for key Ground System capabilities including, but not limited to:

• Edge Compute

• Command and Control

• Network and Communication Systems

• Mission Planning

• Situational Awareness

• Multilevel Data Management

Position Responsibilities:

• Leads work with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements on complex multi-tiered projects.

• Leads analysis and translation of complex requirements into system architecture, hardware designs and interface specifications.

• Leads testing and validation work on complex system designs to assure that operational and functional requirements are met.

• Works with other teams to develop program test strategies.

• Manages performance of critical suppliers to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

• Conducts program independent reviews and reports results to program leadership.

• Provides critical support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

• Leads research into technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

• A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This position requires the ability to obtain Special Program Access.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

• Senior (Level 5) Bachelor’s degree and 14+ years of related work experience or 12+ Master’s degree and 9+ years of related work experience or PhD with related work experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience with network and communications systems

• Experienced with Cloud-based and Edge computing systems

• Familiarity with Multi-domain security hardware and associated certification efforts

• Experience with ground-based mission planning and debrief systems

Typical Education/Experience:

Senior (Level 5)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

The GMC Architecture Community is growing and has an opening for a Senior Project Manager/Project Architect for justice architectural projects in Greater Tampa Bay Area. The Senior Project Manager/Project Architect is responsible for the technical execution and delivery of exceptional projects.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities Include

• Leads project team working within the GMC Architecture Community framework respecting team structure, project roles and responsibilities, and utilization of production tools and standards.

• Member of multi-office architecture practice sharing, contributing, and learning best practices for delivering exceptional projects that include local government/civic, academic and healthcare.

• Broad general knowledge of architectural principles and practices, and proven ability to apply them.

• Ability to function effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.

• Ability to work on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects.

• Understanding of the entire project process-development/scoping, design, and construction.

• Ability to design and detail a complete project, system component or process.

• Prepares complete project documents including the Project Manual/Specifications

• Understands economic and decision analysis principles in area including financial, regulatory, and environmental issues.

• Proficient in Revit Architecture, and complementary design tools.

• Assigns tasks to and directs architects, technicians, and administrative staff.

• Plans and coordinates detailed aspects of the architectural work.

• Prepares scopes, budgets and schedules for assignments.

• Independently performs most assignments with instructions as to the general results expected.

• Interacts with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture from an accredited architectural program

• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience

• Registered Architect or completed NCARB Program

• Proficient in Revit

• Must be able to listen and communicate effectively

• Must be a self-starter, team player and able to establish good working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, team members, and other employees

• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Travel Requirements

• GMC Architecture is a nationwide practice with clients, completed projects and active projects in 36 states. Travel to project sites may be required.
