Role Overview:

The Senior Project Manager will take charge of complex projects or multiple projects while ensuring successful outcomes. You will oversee project operations, profitability, and administrative functions in alignment with JE Dunn’s strategic vision.
• Autonomy & Decision Making: Make decisions within defined limits of authority while consulting senior management for other critical decisions.
• Career Path: Potential advancement to Group Manager 1.

Key Responsibilities:
• Champion a culture of safety by leading initiatives and mentoring colleagues.
• Manage the prestart checklist and support the preconstruction team through various tasks including quantity takeoff and scope development.
• Lead buyout scheduling, confirming pricing, identifying bidders, and managing subcontracts.
• Ensure the timely review and approval of submittals, coordinating with project stakeholders.
• Perform ongoing risk analysis for subcontractors and manage communications with various project stakeholders.
• Prepare regular project reporting, including financial, schedule updates, and risk management.
• Work closely with the Project Superintendent to prepare and maintain project schedules.
• Participate in monthly pay application processes and lead project closeout activities.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Implement a project-specific safety plan and foster a safety-conscious environment.
• Oversee the development of accurate preconstruction estimates and manage project risks actively.
• Collaborate with senior management during client preconstruction discussions.
• Review expense reports and negotiate project issues effectively, including change orders.

The ideal candidate will have:
• A Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
• 10+ years of construction management experience.

Working Environment:
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
• May require travel and/or relocation based on project needs.
• Must be willing to work non-traditional hours and lift items up to 25 pounds.
• Assignment locations may include project sites or offices.
