Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager will successfully implement Infrastructure and Cybersecurity technology change to multiple businesses and countries, including the US, the UK and Europe.
This role will deliver new technology solutions and coordinate with business change activities to drive successful benefit realization. Experienced in traditional lifecycle approaches to change delivery, this person will be responsible for driving technology delivery to realize business value outcomes while balancing capacity, time, cost and quality factors.
Responsibilities
Planning and ownership of projects, supporting business and sponsors and technical owners in defining scope and schedules while focusing on regular and timely value / quality deliverables
Anticipate and mitigate risks by identifying key gaps and interdependencies utilizing effective collaboration and problem solving to minimize obstacles and keep on track with program targets
Driving delivery with workstream leaders in technical and business teams globally, holding teams accountable for their commitments and ensuring that deviations and roadblocks are identified early and effectively tackled to maintain a successful delivery trajectory
Encouraging people to make tough decisions together through an effective governance framework with clear roles and responsibilities, bringing the right people and information together at the right time to ensure that decisions are made and accepted
Managing third party vendors and the organization to contractually obligated targets and deliverables, driving proactive resolution of any issues that arise
Develop and maintain positive working relationships across diverse individuals and groups, creating an open and empowered environment where issues are surfaced and worked on collaboratively
Undertaking detailed communications planning and execution to ensure business and technical team readiness for deliverables
Financial management of delivery, including budgeting and forecasting for initiatives, aligning to accounting practices and enabling early decision making for adjustments as required
Quantifying and qualifying business benefits and outcomes, with a focus on establishing metrics to ensure realization post delivery
Implementing effective delivery governance for initiatives and supporting continuous improvement in governance best-practice for the team
Organize and lead status meetings and technology workshops with delivery teams, integrating inputs from multi-disciplinary technical and business groups where necessary to improve capacity for delivery

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Extensive (7+ years) experience in leading cross-functional, enterprise-wide implementations in medium-to-large business environments
Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to technical teams and able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project delivery and technical risks and issues
Deep understanding of development lifecycle models and practices aligned to recognized project management frameworks (e.g., PMBOK, Prince 2)
Experience in working with remote teams and across multiple geographies, time zones and cultures, using in-country delivery partners
Track record of collaborating with sponsors to develop strategies and business solutions of high business value
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project, including critical path planning and resource levelling
Knowledge of all Microsoft Collaboration tools, including MS Viso.
Experience in the Insurance industry would be an advantage in this role
