Job Description
1. Communicating with Merchandiser & other department personnel regularly, to assess purchase needs.
2. New vendor development, maintaining vendor records & vendor selection (obtaining actions, negotiations & preparing vendor comparison statements).
3. PO management - Generating POs where required, tracking PO performance & maintaining purchase records.
4. Communicating with Projects to confirm product delivery, installation & quality check.
5. Approving vendor bills and processing vendor payments.
6. Keep Minimum Stock and do material planning accordingly.
7. Global Purchasing exposure in relevant segment.
8. Export & Import purchasing experience.
+. Arrange for disposal of Dead Stock materials.
10. Administer on-line purchasing systems (By mail or other etc.)
11. Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.
12.Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials equipment, machinery, and supplies.
13.Review, evaluate, and approve specifications as per requirement.
14.Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
15. Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.
16.Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
17.Control purchasing department budgets.
18.Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
1+.Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales.
20.Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
