The Role:
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Data Science team and help us develop & maintain various software products in Data Science/AI/ML field.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists, Product Managers, and UX/UI Designers, to deliver high-quality products.
Prototype, develop, and implement Python-based solutions, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Build and maintain Python web APIs using frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
Utilize cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and leverage various features like Lambda, ECS, SQS, APIGW, ALB, etc., to develop scalable and reliable applications.
Optimize performance of Python code through containerization and performance optimization techniques (e.g., Cython).
Demonstrate proficiency in working with databases, particularly MySQL, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating relevant advancements into the development process.
Requirements:
At least 2-3 years of full-time software development experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality Python-based solutions.
In-depth knowledge of programming language concepts, with specific expertise in Python, including Pandas & Numpy
Strong experience with Python web API frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
Proficiency in cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and familiarity with key features like Lambda, ECS, SQS, APIGW, ALB, etc.
Understanding of containerization and performance optimization techniques in Python, such as Cython or similar mechanisms.
Solid understanding of databases, particularly MySQL, and experience in designing efficient data structures.
Exposure to web scraping and PDF data extraction is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts.
Qualification:
BE, BTech, MTech, ME, MCA (minimum 4 years of degree)
