Codal, one of the fastest growing web and mobile development companies in the world, is seeking exceptional, experienced and full-time Senior Python Developer, to support both client and internal projects.
We are looking for a Senior Python Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application; therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.
What you’ll be doing:
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code.
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic.
• Design, creation and provisioning of REST APIs / GraphQL APIs.
• Implementation of application security and data protection.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and can work in different types of projects.
• Working with project managers and clients to define user requirements.
What it takes to excel:
• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field, with at least four years of related work experience.
• Expert in Python, with knowledge of at least one Python web framework such as Django, Flask, FastAPI etc.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Strong SQL knowledge and familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries.
• Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture.
• Good understanding of server-side templating languages such as Jinja 2, Mako, etc.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
• Background tasks processing using celery like libs
• Experience with designing, developing and deploying multi tenant SASS applications.
• Experience with Python Data Analysis libraries plus points - NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, PySpark etc
• Basic Idea about cloud based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Docker etc..)
• Understanding of the differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
• Able to create database, data warehouse schemas that represent and support business processes.
• Strong unit test and debugging skills.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools GitHub, JIRA, SonarCube
