Summary of the Role:
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you'll lead the design and implementation of comprehensive test automation frameworks. This involves leveraging Selenium, Cucumber, and Rest Assured, mentoring junior engineers, and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines. The role requires expertise in web and API automation, strong Java/JavaScript programming skills, and experience with Docker and cloud testing platforms.
What you will do:
Architect and design comprehensive test automation frameworks using Selenium + Cucumber + Rest Assured
Mentor junior SDETs on automation best practices and framework usage
Design complex Rest Assured frameworks with authentication, data management, and reporting
Good to have Playwright automation knowledge
Establish CI/CD integration strategies for automated testing and work with DevOps team to ensure automation is integrated and scheduled
Perform code reviews for automation scripts and ensure coding standards
Design load testing strategies using tools like JMeter
Collaborate with architects and senior developers on testability requirements
Provide technical guidance on complex automation challenges
Good communication skills along with understanding of software development cycle
Well versed with Agile based tools like Jira, Scrum, Confluence
What you bring:
6-10 years in Web based and API Automation
Expert-level knowledge of Selenium WebDriver with Java/JavaScript programming languages
Advanced Cucumber framework implementation and customization
Complex Rest Assured framework design with custom serialization/deserialization
Experience with containerization (Docker) for test environments
Knowledge of cloud testing platforms (AWS/ Azure)
Good understanding of SQL testing and integration with automation scripts
