We are currently seeking Senior QA Engineer to join our team in India.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Software Engineer to join our new product development team. You will be a core member central to our engineering team.
Main responsibilities and key activities:
• Leads, acknowledges, develops, communicates & implements a strategy to ensure compliance.
• Responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of process effectiveness and efficiency.
• Design & Build test harnesses for Automation testing for GUI, Web services and Application reports.
• Implement QA process and automated testing for all the workstreams to improve the overall testing cycle.
• Maintain Automation code based on series of new builds on applications.
• Develop, monitor, execute, evaluate, and maintain automated test scripts for desktop applications using industry-standard automated testing tools.
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining product, data, tools, databases and test environments
• Develop a thorough understanding of product functionality to evaluate and ensure product quality
• Ensures process compliance through the development of comprehensive procedures, work instructions, flowcharts, forms, templates, checklists, worksheets, and other product and process related documentation.
• Utilizes risk management tools in accordance with documented procedures. Supports risk mitigation activities through the Risk Management process.
• Work with the global development team to understand how changes in the software product affect the maintenance of automated test scripts and the QA automated testing environments
• Communicate and interact effectively with customers, product management, documentation, training, deployment, support and other departments within Esko
• Stay current on software technology, concepts, new testing tools, test strategies, as well as related and competing products
Qualifications and professional knowledge:
• Engineering degree with 3-5 years of experience in testing cross-platform Desktop applications with exposure to test automation frameworks.
• Understanding of automation frameworks, methodology, best practices, protocols.
• Experience developing and maintaining test suites through formal methods of test design to ensure optimal test coverage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to understand advanced technical documentation
• Result-oriented with strong self-management skills
• Good analytical skills and self-initiative to learn new technologies
• Knowledge of QA practice both at the conceptual and practical level
• Attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
• Defect tracking and use of test management tools
• Good to understand any MSSQL, SQLite, GraphQL.
• Ability to function independently, quick learner, good analytical skills to understand requirements and workflows.
